Costco selling Gold and SS Chronomat 41

I saw a chronomat 41 in rose gold and SS at local costco for a discount price of $5.5k. The list price is about $13,100. This is the discontinued model. What do you guys think of this watch as a whole and then at the price point it’s being sold at Costco. Also what’s your take on buying it at Costco? thanks.

You're most likely looking at a close-out model that is years old with no manufacturer warranty. So if it doesn't run well or you need to get it serviced at Breitling, you're looking at spending some extra money right off the bat and having your watch out at service for a number of weeks. It's a risk either way.

Buying it at Costco or not is really your choice. I have not quite seen a lot of steel and gold Chronomats on the grey market but I don't see this price as being exaggerated, it seems pretty good at first glance.

Keeping in mind that you may have to have it serviced, in my neck of the woods a complete service on a B01 is about 850,00$ plus taxes (I am in Canada) unless you have parts to replace. In my opinion it still remains a relatively decent price for a chronograph with an in-house movement.

I quite like it myself, the 41mm version does wear well.

Costco has a great return policy as mentioned above. Also, I believe everything from Costco comes with some sort of Costco warranty.

Now, would you let a Costco watch technician work on your watch? That's a different story.

I think the idea is if the watch breaks then at least there is this safety net of getting a full refund.

I highly doubt Costco has a guy in the back doing watch warranty work beyond a battery change. I'm sure they'd send it somewhere.

but question is will the watch be legit? I think costco sells originals but just checking to see if anyone had an experience otherwise. This will save cost of an inspection from an AD.
