Monteverde rollerball convert to FP??

I picked up a Monteverde Intima in Volcano colored resin the other day. Should be in the mail today. I really like that color but found out that it's out of production so I pulled the trigger on a rollerball on the off chance I can use a FP section from another Intima I have. Couldn't find a FP around anywhere. Does anyone know if this is just a quick section swap or is it not possible? Looks plausible in pics even though they scaled the rollerball to look bigger than the FP.

No luck on FPN either. Guess I'll let you know on Monday. I'm pretty optimistic

The most likely issue is the inner cap. Usually they differ between roller ball pens and fountain pens. Often the roller ball is slimmer and twists tines if put on a fountain pen.

Got lucky. The rollerball section, refill, and spring drops right out and the FP section threads right in. Turns out the Intima body and cap are exactly the same rollerball to FP. That was a close one.

Monteverde rollerball convert to FP??

This new Volcano Gray pen might actually be good luck! I've been kicking a$$ and taking names with it at work! Exact opposite of my Montegrappa Extra Otto. I firmly believe that all pens are possessed to some extent from the factory! Just the way it is, good or bad. You see these kinds of unexplainable things in high pen count collections. Kind of creepy if you ask me.......
