Counterfeit. Rolex has never made a two tone DayDate.

Thank you for your time, other than the 2 ton day dates. Is there anything else that pops up showing it's a fake, things i can pick up for the future. I googled a few general things to check. But I'm sure I'll get way more insight here

The two-tone Day - Date is . . .
Quote:
Look for obvious flaws like unusually shoddy workmanship, sloppy printing on the dial, or model numbers on holograms that do not match the watch. 'Rolex 24 Winner' is pretty common on counterfeit Daytonas. Last night I reported a lady's Rolex Day - Date, a watch that has never been made by Rolex, and that lacked a day aperture. The seller had feed-back in excess of 3,000 . . . |

Also the day indicator can be various languages but 'sday tue' isn't a day of the week in any language I know of.

I'm disappointed. Even as a newbie collector you should know this one, unless you too are looking to see if you can get away with selling it. If you are really passionate about watch collecting then roll your sleeves up and do some endless research on swiss watchmaking history.
