WATCHGUARD NanoTec scratch protection?
Has anyone tried a product called WATCHGUARD ASP100 NanoTec scratch protection for anti-scratch and tarnish sealing.

Not for me. If you do not want scratches on your watches, put them in safe and get a Casio or Timex.

It's hard to understand how this liquid can increase the hardness of a surface by several Vickers units but be simultaneously invisible, without residue and non-invasive of anything. Wouldn't it have to be something like a varnish in effect? I wouldn't want it getting under the crown etc. If the claims were true it would be great but I smell snake oil.

Just look at the design of the bottle. Do you really trust the kid with the home printer to make a liquid to protect your several-thousand-dollar Rolex? If you, I've got a couple products I'd like to pitch to you.

I would have no reason to coat the stainless steel on my watches. 904L does not tarnish and scratches are part of wearing and enjoying for me.

Hi, All, I totally understand the skepticism around this product. I just purchased it in hopes of using on my Tudor Black Bay Bronze and inserts on my Kermit and Pepsi Rolex. Will try on a test metal first and will keep the group apprised. If this is anything like ceramic pro for automobiles its promising.

Glad they found a way to rebrand it. Guess sales were slow

Reporting back. I received the WatchGuard product and tested on copper cuff links first to ensure this was not some kind of acid prank. Application did not comprise the metal. I have since coated a brand new Tudor Bronzo. There are no instructions but followed similar product instruction found online. Apply three times each time wiping away residue. A week later no patina. I coated the crystal as well. I cannot comment on how well the product protect against scuffs and scratches. It might add a barrier against scuffs, but I am not confident I am protected against scratches.

They have a similar product for automobiles. I applied some to a motorcycle gas tank I had as decoration in my garage and couldn’t tell the slightest difference in durability. I think it’s equivalent to a nice wax but doubt its protective claims. YMMV. Keep,us posted on the results.
