Got a call last night... Picking it up today
Hi Guys
I got a surprise call from a local dealer, whom I have never done any business with, that they have a White dial stainless Sky Dweller in. It is mine if I want it. My first choice is blue, 2nd is black. Did not really consider the white. I put a deposit down and going to look at it tonight and probably pick it up. I know the white dial is not as hot as the blue or black. But are they still hard to find? I am just a little surprised that I got the call. |

I came across this one and passed....which, for the avoidance of doubt and with the benefit of hindsight, was STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!
I do prefer the blue dial, but the white also is a beauty. |

Honestly, I would wait for the one that you really want. Not to be a buzzkill.

why does everyone desire the white Daytona but the white SD gets little love?
Daytona: Black<White SD: Blue>Black>White Both have a busy dial. |

Wait for what you want most. Personally, the white is my favorite for the SkyD.

Not me...i prefer the black dial Daytona and the white dial Sky Dweller would be my first choice, closely followed by the black

Exciting times...definitely worth a look-see.
The white is really growing on me, as are the white and black in two tone. It's a stunning watch, for sure. |

I’m not sure too much profit is left for a used/lnib white dial - wouldn’t count on instant flip as a painless way out. I say buy only if you’d think you’d be happy to own it

I have tried on all three dial colors for the SS SkyD. I preferred black or white over blue. I’m in the minority here. I have a white dial SS SkyD. The white dial changes color from white to a silver color depending on lighting. It’s an amazing watch for the price.

If white was my 3rd choice, I'd go in with an open mind. I'd really have to love this watch or I'd pass and wait for one that really spoke to me.

Remember if you buy it they might not call you the next time around when a blue one comes in.
So if you buy it and don’t like it, sure you could sell and not lose anything but then how would you get a blue one? |

Op, white is beautiful and sleek. I definitely like it over black dial, but not sure if I prefer blue over white. I got the call and jumped on the white. Try it on you will love it!

I actually pre-order a blue dial with my preferred dealer. I am 1st (maybe 2nd) on the list. I think I will get it faster from my preferred dealer. |

No sunburst but there is a color change I've noticed as well on the white. From pure white to a silver hint... hard to explain though. I thought it was just me that noticed the color change.

Got a call last night... Picking it up today

I️ think your number is accurate for BNIB from a seller with little history of sales. My comment was if you plan on wearing for a few weeks to decide I️ think it falls off from 16-16.5 closer to msrp. I️ think white sits third in the eyes of customers. I don’t think those TS are getting 18-20 for the blue black either. I’m only speculating on any of this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Do try it on but don't force it, generally I prefer darker dials with SS to provide more contrast and visual depth, my exception is the ceramic D500 but there the bezel provides that. Today, I was looking at white and black AP ROs which are fairly comparable here and the black was by far my preferred choice.

Dealer sucks!!
Ok. Latest Update
Just got a call from the store manager. She told me that the owner told her that watch is not available. It was already put in layway and the sales who sold me the watch did not know that. I am not sure if I buy that story....... My guess is that it wasn't spoken for. The owner, after realizing which watch it is, decided to keep it for the VIPs. Anyway, Thank you all for your thoughtful comments. I guess there is no incoming after all. |
