London Sub

First post

Just joined the Rolex club - picked up a brand new LN Sub for MSRP from a AD in London after being told there was a waiting list by literally every other shop.

I thought it was going to be a lot harder when reading posts on here.

I think I got super lucky.

A Sub LN is not a very rar Rolex, so why should an AD have a waiting list?

No matter....congrats and have fun :)

They seem quite rare in The U.K.

They mat not be rare, but at present they are not easy to source in the UK.
My mate wants a black (date or not) and can't find one within 50 miles of our major city and is quoted 6 - 12 months on the waiting lists he is on

So, OP I believe is correct to feel fortunate.

Have to agree. Watchfinder have a 2017 Sub Date advertised at £7850. That’s £1600 above retail.

Congratulations OP, great watch!

Hard to find sports models in the UK at the moment, partly due to lack of availability, and partly because of the devalued GBP.

Yes, my mistake was that i didn´t think about the UK. My thoughts were more at the local situation.

So far i apologize...

Lucky find to just walk in and get one

I had my name down at about 9 AD’s for a non date, date & Hilk and within 6 weeks I got 3 calls for non date models. I also got a Hulk call within 10 weeks and another call for a non date about 12 weeks later. This is all since August this year too..
So if you call enough shops, you are bound to get one soonish.

What is rare in Germany are BLNRs. I just went to a third AD and they told me there is at least a 2-year wait. Funny thing is that I do not believe that for one bit, but hey, I guess they feel better pointing you to something else you do not want.

Congrats and welcome to TRF. From what I read, they are quite hard to find in the UK. Great pickup and nice of you to pass the GMT info on.

What AD did you use?
Nice watch by the way, I took the plunge with a deep blue last Tuesday.

I am not sure if I can name the AD

But they just opened a store in London Mayfair, after previously only having a store in Stratford upon Avon
