is this AD crazy or what ???

This is the price for an LV from a Las Vegas AD. They have been very nice telling me that they could have hold the watch for me until december....if I would have payed the full amount with an international money transfer....
$6400.00 US Dollars
+ 7.75% Tax - $496.00
Total $6896.00 US Dollars

??? I mean....is this the right price ?? I've just got it brand new in Italy for 4200.00 €....
They have been very pushy..calling me no matter what my local time was.....
Screw them...of course

Yes but you got the box in Vegas, not a sock that you have yours in.

Why would you pay tax if you're coming in from Italy?

The problem would be coming back and getting stung for EU taxes when you declare.

Even without taxes the price would be 5000 cool Euro. That is ridicolous. LV ad price in Italy is now 4920 Euro, but right now you get a full 10% discount if you push a bit. Seddiqi and Sons in Dubai was offering me straight a 10% just when I ask for the price.
About the declaration.....forget about it..is that really people out there that declare stuff like that at the border ???

I was at the AD in Tulsa today, LV was 6400 + tax and no discount at all. Regular sub was 6000 + tax and MAYBE 5% discount.

The retails in the UK for a LV is currently £3690, which works out at $5350, and most ADs are either going by the older price of £3200 or giving a bit of a discount!

As stated above, i guess the days of buying from the US are over for us in Europe, i used to get a good amount of stuff from the states when it was $2.05 to the £, now it's $1.45

Wow--doesn't anybody buy used???

There are some GREAT deals out there if you shop a little. My M series was $4600 (boxes, papers, etc) in as new condition. I ROUTINELY see them for $5000 or less. Here's mine...
