New Year Incoming Teaser Thread!

Haven't done a teaser incoming thread for a bit, so here's one. Unless it is guessed correctly beforehand, the unveiling will be on 1st January!

First clue: it is a brand I swore I would never buy again after appalling customer service (should be easy for anyone who has read my posts for some time - there are only two brands I have ever said this about - and also do bear in mind that this is not posted in a dedicated brand sub-forum).

There is one person on here who knows, and he cannot participate!

Thanks Mike. You know if I am posting a teaser thread it is unlikely to be for something run of the mill!

Here she is! The legendary Il Destriero Scafusia, at its launch in 1993 the most complicated watch on sale and all based on a humble Valjoux 7750 movement! Perpetual split second tourbillon repeater.

Wow, congratulations Roger!

Question, the thick bezel serves a purpose for the minute repeater or was it simply an aesthetics feature of the watch?

Thanks everyone. The repeater is very sonorous and with decent volume. I don’t think the thick bezel has too much of a bearing on the repeater although there is scant information on the Watch online as it was launched in 1993.

Congrats! Isn't this the first grand complication in a wrist watch?

Is that what called you back to IWC, or was it something else?
