Should I go with BLNR or TT GMT?
Looking at getting another Rolex in the new year. I do not have the GMT. Was looking at the Batman vs the TT GMT. Of the two, what would you go with?

I’m not a TT kinda guy, but even if I was, it would be the BLNR for me.

GMT Master (Pepsi) and GMTII (c). I actually like my Pepsi more. Got the GMTII in 2010, and wear it for special occasions. Since I'm pretty much antisocial, I have worn it appoximately six times! Watch is flawless - not one mark on it. My Pepsi is pretty much worn daily.

Well...this forum is filled with TT haters and BLNR lovers, so you can imagine what this answer will look like from us. The question, though, is which one do you like better?

TT is dressier. Is that a positive or a negative to you?
I like dressy. You didn't identify which TT, I guess the dial (and more) will factor in to all of this soon. It may depend on what you wear and where you go with the watch too. But, as others said: None of this matters more than just buying the one you like best ! I really like both, so I think you cant go wrong. But, to me, the BLNR is much more casual and sporty. In a good way... For the record: I have the all black GMT and love it, wear it everyday, casual or suit and tie. I had the TT DJ41 with silver face, man, it was beautiful, but I sold it and have to admit I do not miss it. Also, had a hulk, sold that too. Yep, miss it. But this all black GMT fills all the gaps, and I am so content with this one watch ! |

BLNR had this convo yesterday and it was difficult to get the point across that the ss would hold its value better than the tt , but it’s gold he said

If did it over again today, I would do the TT GMT over the BLNR, because I just want some yellow gold in my collection. Specifically, I would go for the TT Sub b/c the bezel seems less busy in the gold model compared to the GMT. Good luck with your decision.

I had to 'settle' for a TT GMT as the BLNR wasn't available but the more I wear my TT the moe i'm glad that the BLNR wasn't available as I really like it.

I love TT but the Bezel on the GMT TT throws me off a bit. I find it less on the BLNR with the colour.

I’ve seen both in the wild and in the cold light of day the BLNR is pretty hot but the TT is something else. The gold and steel combo really pops imho.

Depends on what you have already. If you don’t have a SS model, the BLNR is a great one to own. I have both a BLNR and TT GMT. The TT gets more time as the dressier choice compared to the BLNR and my subs.

Had both, sold the BLNR as the TT is much nicer, this thread is unlikely to reflect that however because there are so many BLNR owners out there.
You need to try them both on and see for yourself, ultimately you can’t go wrong with either.... |
