Let’s hope whoever picked up doesn’t try “flip it” for a profit and truly wants the watch.

Why not me purchase and flip

My reasoning is:
I pay $14,400 (Get back 1% on CC $140.00)
The sales tax 8.75% $1,155.00
So I am out of pocket $15,015.00 (Includes my CC cash back)
Being a non Trusted seller I have to find someone to wire me, a stranger, say $17,500. Now I have to pay shipping and insurance of $300.00 or so.
Now I net $2,185.00.
But if I have to discount the sale to $17,000 then I net only $1,685.00.
I have a good job and figure it is kind of a risk to go through all that trouble just to make a buck. I also hope whoever gets it enjoys it.
Now if it was the high demand blue Skydweller, well I would probably be looking at it at home now! lol

Yep. This was a good deed and a good pass. The white ones seem to be sitting and not fetching near the money the blue has. As a matter of a fact the white would be my last choice.

Solid logic. Value at risk plus your time spent, a lot of nonsense for $1500 if it ain’t your line of work.

Yes, look at Watchrecon and Chrono24, and many white dial Sky Ds are selling for mid-high $16k. The prices for the white have really come down. The blue is still astronomically high at $19k+.

True that about the blue. Though must admit it's been my daily beater for months and the blue dial really is incredible in various lighting.

The white is my favorite but won't buy sight unseen. Nice gesture on your part OP.

I wish more TRFers would do this. It seems that many on this forum want to buy to own, and not to flip—although I acknowledge the temptation. After all, if you don’t want a SS Daytona but we’re offered one at MSRP, wouldn’t you absolutely flip it?

I can tell you from trying it on that is a spectacular dial in white. It kind of shines a bit silver. If you like a white dial this one will not disappoint.

Fair, but if it helps I just picked up my white dial. It’s absolutely fantastic in person. I think most people are only judging the pics but in real life, it’s not a flat white, it’s got a metallic hue. It contrasts a bit with the gmt dial too.

I changed my preference to white. I always wanted a white dial and the explore II does not do it for me. I have a sub and blnr and once I pick Sky D I'm done.
