Planning for the next crown
Hey all, need some opinions
Currently I have 1) 114060 2) 116710 ( bought it to be my boy”s growing up watch) Recently I was blessed with the arrival of my little girl hence I am thinking of acquiring another crown Been thinking of 1) hulk 2) 116613LN I really love the submariner range and I am thinking of retiring the 114060 for my Daughter. My mind is on the TT but it will be harder to wear on a daily basis. But the 116613LN has always been a grail ( not bluesy, I don’t know why but it just don’t sing to me) I really like the classic black and gold look. The hulk is growing on me as it reminds me of my little girl now hahaha she is a little fighter! But the price is atrocious ( talking of preowned here, almost the same price of the TT) no Batman please and no Daytona ( doesn’t sing to me too) |

Buy whichever you wish to wear yourself. use the kids as excuse, by all means, but they've got no say... if anybody gifted me a Rolex however ugly it'll be rude to refuse

I echo your thoughts on the TT Black/gold sub, I think it looks better than the LB. is it very hard to source in Singapore?

SG is pretty decent for used watch market... good volumes of customers earning good money (locals/expats/visitors), safe environment, reasonably trustable sellers (island is a very small red dot!), usually decent range of stock... in SEAsia only second to HK & JP IMHO.

to be honest, I haven’t start sourcing yet ( that’s always the best part!) but the price of a hulk ( new or preowned) is insane here. More ex or equivalent to a TT ( preowned) but I can see more bluesy and hulk around compared to the LN
One vote for the TT ! Thanks sarosh |

It's insane here too, unfortunately.
If you're dead set on these two, my vote would be the LV. But...you may want to see what happens in the next few months and if the price is going to trend one direction or another. If you're open to blue in TT, that would be my pick. |

Planning for the next crown
Do you really think your daughter will want a super case Sub?
From where I sit, you’ve got too much of the same. One ceramic Sub/Gmt is enough imo. Branch out to other brands - or perhaps a 5 serial (or later) Sub |

You say the 116613ln is your grail. This is simple, always get the one YOU want. It’s extremely versatile as well

Be patient and get a new hulk at a reasonable or MSRP price.
