Removing oyster bracelet links

Hi guys,

Just a quick question,

When removing the links from the oyster bracelet on either 12 or 6 ‘o clock side, is it best to remove the links closest to the clasp first or the link closest to the lugs?

Is there a difference? And if so what is it?

Sorry for the newb question. Just wanted to know before I attempt to do it when I get my new BLNR

Thank you
