Smashed my Milgauss GV into the steel rail........:(

I got into the lift today, carrying some heavy lever arch files.

I went to rest them on the guard rail and 'CLANG' my GV smashed into the guard rail.

Oh no

Fortunately, I still had the plastic on and no damage was thereby occasioned

And to all who loathe me for wearing a watch with the plastic still on and yes I will take it off.......when I feel like it.

Good thing the crystal's still intact. I once had a similar experience but ended up with a huge crack on the crystal of my s/s Submariner which at the time was just 3 days old!

Maybe you should just not wear it all!

That way it won't get any scratches!

Glad it's OK!

You leave the plastic on as long as you want, it makes you feel as if the watch is brand new for a little longer!

I'm getting the GV off my wrist now, I figure I've used up all my good karma for a while, so I'm going with the 1665 SD....now that is a watch that can take a hit.

Next video will be the 1665.

if they made plastic for bubble saphires...

I'd be putting them on too; good for you, no hurt or foul to the watch...

Glad no harm came, but sooner or latter one must start to really wear the watch.

All this talk of scrach guards reminds me f the "swatch guards" that were so 80's... maybe rolex needs to make one... of course it would cost 1k or more.....

Or there are velcro commando straps that complealty cover the watch so there is no lume signature... but it looks like you have a hunk of seat belt wrapperd around you wrist.

Glad you did'nt do anty damage but take the plastic off and enjoy the watch, if you are worried and scratcvhes or damage then don't buy a dear watch in the first place. They are made to be worn and scratches and damage are all part of wear and tear

Close call Steve. Keep her safe. I once hit a granite counter with my AK and I was just devastated, and it took me a week to find the time to fix it. Not a very good feeling at all when you hear your watch smack into steel or solid rock.
