So my SS Daytona get all scratched up...

Must admit the white dial ss daytona is the most beautiful watch I ever own. And it shown with many scratches from being worn nearly every day for last 2 mths.

I wear my watch(es) very carefully but not afraid of scratches.

So please have the plastics removed and wear it, enjoy it.

I do admit, the scratches do show on those polished center links. Makes me sad but I know it adds character to the watch. Watches are meant to be worn. I do agree, the Daytona is a beautiful watch....cheers, I have had mine under three weeks.

Come on, the bracelet is made of steel and the center link is as polished to a high luster. The metal will have superficial scratches with daily use. I love my Rolex and intend to wear it daily, if it is a good watch it will last, if not it won't.....

Thats true i scratched my 16610 bracelet a couple of weeks ago on a particularly good night out!!I was a bit annoyed but at the same time its gonna happen at some point so just take it on the chin.Keeping the plastics on is pointless your watch will get scratched thats what makes it your watch

I almost got to wear my new White Faced Daytona.... But, my wife (she's so beautiful) convinced me that she should be the one to scratch it up for awhile.... Looks great on her... Stunning, stunning watch... Wear it and enjoy it!

Polished center links are scratch magnet. I think my heavily starched shirt put few more swirls on the watch today...

All my watches have signs of honest wear.

Nothing wrong with that as it is a measure of the fact you are wearing (and enjoying) them.

That has to be one of the dumbest comments ever posted on this or any other watch website ....you get the scratches by wearing the watch!!!!!. I've got tons of them, particulary on the clasp from desk diving, knocking it around in the car, bumping into things, wherever and whatever. There isn't a person on this site that happens to have an SS Rolex.........Daytona, GMT, etc., with center polished links that doesn't have scratches. Half the guys that do have scratches, freak out about them and you can't understand how any of us got scratches ......jeez!!!!

I gave my GMT IIC a once over yesterday, and I am happy. While masking of the other area with PVC electrical tape, I polished the center with Cape Cod Clothes and the outer links with a Scotchbrite pad. After the polishing, I wiped it all down Scrubbing Bubbles Wipes, rinsed it off, and put in an ultrasonic cleaner (band only) for about 6 minutes. I wish I took some photos before, because it really looks like a new watch again. Made a big difference. The watch is about 6 months old.

Maybe Cartier SS is far superior to Rolex SS

As careful as I have been my GMT is all scratched up and I dont work. This is just around the house and on vacation. I bought the watch in Jan and these pics were taken in August. Now there is a huge deep scratch on the clasp that cant be removed before it gets its 5 year service from RSC.
