I am not surprised. In this economy, nothing surprises me anymore. Nor do I get excited about anything like this anymore. There will be many good deals on what use to be hard to get watches.

At Brinkhaus on Georgia St in Vancouver they have pretty much everything that people have said was hard to get lately. very large display case. Last time I was in there I saw GV, DSSD, SS daytona. LV, even the Zebra uggh. Looks like they are well stocked.

Not surprised the DSSD is in the case. It's not as collectible as the SS Daytona, and will only sell to a small niche market of people with very thick wrists

I don't know if it's over rated, since I've not really heard one person (even the AD) speak kindly about it. I'd say people are curious because it's new, and rightly so. According to the AD a lot of people come in to try it on, and walk out without it, snickering at how fat it is.

Have tried a DSSD on and I think it's gorgeous! I have the original SD and now have mixed feeling about this classic. I wish Rolex hadn't brought out the Deep Sea, as it's made me want one badly!

As I write this, a secondhand watch shop (I hate the word "preowned'') in Singapore has two Deep Seas for sale - an M and V serial.

It is hardly surprising, but who knows what will happen when the economy turns.
So now is your chance if you want one.

was actually lucky to try one on at the AD last time i went in to have a look at the sub date and sd, the salesperson say they just rec'd one in for one of the other client's that were waiting for it for 3 months and that he is picking it up in the weekend. the dssd was awesome when you see it in person, i really like it on me, so did my wife, to bad its out of my budget

My AD called me again yesterday for the third time in the past sevral months trying to get me to purchase the DSSD. I of course turned it down once again.
If anyone wants one, I can see if they will sell it to you. I think they are keeping it in the safe and not the case. |
