Anyone brushed a SS SkyDweller?

Would love to see if anyone has had their SS Skydweller brushed. Thinking of doing it if/when I get one from my AD. Love the functionality of the piece, but not so hot on PCLs.

The Fluted bezel is way more bling than the PCLs

It may be considered a "sport" watch, but I don't see it as a tool watch or even my every day/every situation watch, so I don't wanna brush those PCLs on the Sky Dweller.

I kinda do want a GMT Master II with brushed PCLs however.

I don't think I'd do it; it might be expensive if you decide to sell ever.

If you feel you're going to keep it forever and run it into the ground, sure do it and enjoy the life out of it. If you think you may sell at any point in the near future, just realize it will be an expensive mod you made that will come to call when you cash out.

They are not the bezel is. Though I know why you are asking.

Just thought I would ask since it seems people have done it to 116500s and modern GMTs. I'm not terribly worried about impact on value (brushing is something that can be reversed), but more that how it would look. I'm guessing that it's probably a risk with the fluted bezel, which makes it more dressy and not a great match up with brushed links.

Don't think it would look right, and I'm a guy who brushed the GMT PCLs.

Brushed links work on the GMT because of the brushed areas of the case. Don't recall the SkyD having any.

I use to be a staunch proponent of brushed PCLs but not anymore. An alternating brushed and polished 3 piece bracelet gives the watch a charismatic fresh character full of youthful vigour but after brushing, the bracelet appears tired like you've just accelerated the ageing process

Hell I was the first person to brush the 116500 as far as I am aware, well actually beau at LAWW but on my request, and I wouldn’t do it.

The skydweller is a brash unapologetic Rolex. Brushing it isn’t going to change .

If for some reason it had a Ceramic bezel..maybe but that bezel is shouting and you can’t brush that right ?

5 digit ref DJs have brushed lugs with fluted bezel.

If you are going to brush PCLs then u may have to brush the lugs as well

I agree, it is a sports watch but not a tool watch. Somewhere in the middle. Im assuming thats why it doesn't have the safety clasp that the "tool" watches have.

I dont think tool and sport is interchangeable

I also would not brush the PCL's
