Every1 must have a beater (watch)...
Last night we went see "Coldplay" at the American Airlines Center (home of the Mavericks and Stars). I was so glad for wearing the Subdate...totally forgotten how many time it got bumps around. This morning after inspection the watch it look like new. Submariner is a rugged watch no doubt.
Another note: Dallas RSC look very nice at night |

My daily beater is the SD. It feels indestructible. I can wear it in any environment without worrying it may get damaged.

Nice one Felly. Where did you buy this from? Costco? I saw a Gshock from Costco the other day and thought of buying it , but it does not compare to yours....

My daily beater is whatever is on my arm. The all get loved and abused the same. I don't see the point in having $5K tied up in a safe queen.
I respect that some people are 'collectors', but I'm not in that category (yet).

My beater: Seiko, Citizen Ecodrive, Tissot T-Touch, and soon will be Tag heuer Indy 500.
Next collection that I will never beat around: Tag Heuer Grand Carrera and another Rolex TT or YG (Either Sub/Daytona/maybe new upcoming Rolex) but currently don't have enought fund yet ... |

For me the term "beater" doesn't work, its a misnomer, I wear all my stuff and if its expensive then its insured so I don't worry about bumping into stuff or what neighborhood I'm walking in. Maybe I should but thats not how I live. Now I bought my TT 16613 as a dress watch, and I use it mostly for that, I have two Omega's and I'm picking up a SS Daytona next week and the three will be on a rotation of whatever-freakin-mood-I'm-in

White, provincial ethreal white, boring I know but the black daytona doesn't sing to me. this will be the third daytona I've bought, I flipped the other 2 but this one I'm going to keep for a while. Its taken about a year but the watch has grown on me, I'm pretty excited about picking it up.

I'm such a recent Rolex nut, I bought my first few pieces brand new from an AD including my P-series Explorer, which has more wrist time than any other. However, I started rotating through my small collection, so it will remain my "beater", though my Daytona from Felly Jr and my GMT IIc from GT2 are catching up for my "beater" title.

If I know there is chance of banging it around, this one gets the call of duty
For all other occassions, each one will be worn on the "battle ground" I bought 'em to wear 'em

I guess you could argue that I don't really own anything but beaters, since I wear them all for most of my activities.
However, if I'm expecting my watch to really take a beating, this is the one I wear.

If there's a real chance of screwing up my watch, I don't wear a watch.
