GMT Master - TT or SS

I really like Rolex watches and especially like the GMT model.
I also considered myself to know a bit about these watches, until I heard about the TT and the SS types for each model.

I just cant get my head around to what the difference is between the TT and the SS GMT Master, or in fact any other Rolex model.

Also, is there any other such variations as TT and SS?

No difference at all except one is SS and the other gold and SS.

It's depend on your taste. For me, I want my watch not to "bling" so I will go with TT. But thats my first Rolex watch anyway. I'll make sure I keep it clean

TT=Two Tone - Gold/Stainless
SS = Stainless Steel

You could also consider the third variation, which is solid 18K gold. This comes with a green or black dial.

SS for me, I'm not into the flashy-ness of YG (or RG really). The fact that SS is cheaper is a nice benefit as well, lol

Agreed. Plus, I think SS is more versatile as it looks great at the beach while swimming but can also go w/ fine clothes during a nice night out on the town. To me, anytime I see any type of gold on a watch during 'sporting events' is just seems a little out of place as it seems too 'dressy' for the occasion. Cheers.

That's a good point too! Typically I wear something on a leather strap when I'm trying to be dressy.

I'm getting mine in just 9 days. Can't wait. While I like the TT, I went with SS.

I love the TT watches and didn't even consider a SS version of any Rolex before becoming a member of TRF. Now I love the stainless steel as much as the two tone and when buying my next Rolex will have a difficult time choosing between the two.

Well done! I am a convert!

I love both the TT and the SS and the YG also, but between cost and rarity, the SS really seems the best overall for me.

Beautiful pics Eddie

lobzdik, I have the SS & really covet the TT, but if it was a straight choice for me between the two I'd have the SS, hell with the polished centre links it looks TT anyway.

Good luck with whatever you choose, you won't be disappointed
