D5, exhale........
Gents,
Here she is, a wait since 7am 3/16/16. Here’s my story. So, I’ve owned many many many BNIB sports Rolex from ADs, ss and pm. I HAD two preferred dealers that HAD historically taken care of me. I had a significant history with each. Then, it happened, both my key salespeople left the stores. So, I Became yesterday’s news and kind of been the forgotten one. Tried several techniques like pester them, ignore them, ask for managers all etc. , all to no avail. They were each ok with feeding VIPs (which I kinda thought I was.....there is ALWAYS a bigger fish) and feeding me excuses. So I did what any determined TRFer should do but is often too lazy to do. I pounded the phones to call new dealers all across the USA. It only takes one, and it worked, black dial obtained within three weeks of initial contact. So now, back to pestering the old firms and asking about white. Same BS and frustration off the charts. So here comes .....white, from the cold call AD 11months after receiving the black. All is well in the world again, almost two years later. I’d like to tell all those on TRF that are in similar situations don’t worry, be patient, it will come -that’s all BS I was miserable (in hobby world) until this finally became a reality. If you’ve made it through, Introducing: Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Congrats and nice duo. I was in a real similar boat. I bought multiple watches from the same AD. I ordered the white dial 116500 around 8am on 3/16/16 but didn’t get it until November 2017 after buying the black one 3 or 4 months earlier.

Congrats and glad it worked out. I can't imagine running a business where if your salesperson leaves, it's like your purchase history resets. Do they somehow think that you will no longer buy SS and PM watches and aren't worth taking care of? Pure stupidity if you ask me.
Those are beautiful watches! Enjoy them!

I love this post and your story of making it happen. Honestly tiring hearing from those whining about leaving the brand because they can’t easily find one.
Well done, sir! Your approach is a blueprint for success in any endeavor. |

Love hearing about a success story... This watch is number one on my list, like many here on this forum. But I do not have much hope that one would be available to buy. Hopefully more will hit the market and I will get my chance to own this beauty. This watch would go perfect in my rotation of my two subs... Thanks for the post and pics!
