IMO Rolex's plastic boxes are not even worth the space they take up underneath my bed. If i didn't feel some weird need to keep them, they would go in the trash.

I don’t wear the box, and it doesn’t keep great time.

Have to agree. I usually buy and appreciate the product, not its packaging.

More packaging = more to dispose of, is wasteful and environmentally irresponsible. A watch should come in a felt sleeve/travel pouch which would be reused by its owner.

Completely agree. For the amount we pay for these watches I would expect better.

Rolex boxes are perfect for their purpose.

Yes, the Tudor boxes are prettier than Rolex boxes, but my Tudor boxes are stored away just like my Rolex boxes.

And of course, if Rolex starts using prettier boxes, they are going to raise prices, which is a very unpopular idea here on TRF, since so many are unwilling to pay even current MSRP.

One part of me says who cares just a box. Other says for the amount I paid for a watch the box should be better quality.

They should make them almost like a men’s wardrobe to store keys, wallet etc. Let it sit on the dresser instead under the bed lol.

I agree with one poster for sure though. Even though I don’t plan to sell I want to keep it as a full set. If I did not think like that it definitely would have been in the trash by now.

you have a point although Rolex isnt the issue. Its amazon prime members who get free shipping and then use it to order a pack of gum.

I would go oh la la for about 1 second as I’m opening the box to get the watch and the box would then get stored!

Absolutely gorgeous ! My wife’s super-diamond masterpiece deserves this box. The blue box that came with my wife’s watch came with a key but the piano finish box so sexy.

I wouldn’t call a $12500 deep sea or a $9050 hulk cheap!!
Rolex Best box costs them less than $100 so they can throw the best box with all models but they choose to “cheapen” especially that people will still buy it if given in a zip lock bag

While boxes are just for presentation and storage, I do think Rolex should step their game up. They should provide nicer boxes for anything over $10k and especially for all of their PM watches. Boxes from Breguet, AP and especially Patek are gorgeous and represent the product inside with elegance.. While what Rolex provides now is far from the worst presentation, they can certainly and should do better.

Yes I would applaud a box makeover.

Like honestly how much can it cost to make that box??? It’s made out of wood, not diamonds. Rolex should just include it with all watches.

That's a nice box but for what the watch cost it should be. While it's nice to have a nice box, I'd rather have a simple, small one that's well made (in the watch's country of origin) and doesn't add too much to the price.

Box alone is some piece of jewelry let alone the watch.
