€12,600 for a TT Sub?!

In the UK they are £9,900 which is about €11,180 at today’s rate.

That’s crazy. Two countries so near and the price is so different

They have a black dial SkyD, but honestly I can't tell if it's SS or TT. If SS that's about as hot as it gets. But if it is SS that price is outrageous.

It's TT at that price. GMTc is nice to see tho.

This was the stock at Wempe in Frankfurt back in October. Pretty similar stock. They had some SS Datejust 41s inside but most of the heavy-hitting stuff is in the window. They only had that sole GMTIIc LN, polar bear and black GV. They told me they had really long lists for everything from a SubC, Hulk, BLNR and of course as far as the DaytonaC they told me they’re tired of having to tell people no. They receive dozens of inquiries every single day.

While it’s now February, the situation in Germany is pretty much either PM or TT. I went to other ADs and it was mostly the same. I didn’t find a single 116610LN on display and I was there for two months. At the airport they did have Oysterflex Daytonas and even a Platona but the rest was all SS DJs and some DDs. I saw the white gold oysterflex at another AD in the center of town but that was it. All the Patek and AP stock was also all PM with one exception I believe. I think I saw a SS RO Chrono.

Did you ask if they’re keeping the SS professionals in back?

I’m not familiar with the European prices but is that higher than last year? Did Rolex increase prices in Europe?

I’m only aware of the post-Brexit UK price increase in Fall ‘16. Don’t know if they raised them across the continent. DJ41 SS/WG was €8650.

Edit: Looks like they did raise prices recently. If you compare the prices in my photo to his you’ll see the GMT is up €200, Bluesy up €350, TT Daytona up €500, etc.

I actually think that price difference you think of is because of different VAT rates across EU nations.

How could I forget! Very true. Germany is 19% and Ireland is 23%. These Irish prices are really high. Higher than US prices with the NYC 8.875% tax included.

I would expect them to be Rolex MSRP plus any local taxes VAT, GST etc?

Prices are first released in CHF with a low VAT of 7.7% Usually the CHF price translates roughly to the American price without tax. It’s fair to say that the cheapest place to buy them for MSRP is Switzerland barring extraordinary economic events like Brexit.

I stopped in my local AD in the midwest yesterday and experienced the same:

They had the usual other suspects, no Hulk's, BLNR's or SS Daytona's (obviously)

Regarding the BLNR my AD commented that 'Rolex halted sending them out due to people reselling them well over MSRP so Rolex decided to let the market dry up' (lol? I'm not buying it but whatever)

Other than hype, out in the wild a
TT Daytona >>> SS Daytona

Everytime.

Even the White Ceramic Daytona as coveted as it is, passes under the radar.

is this is local non-authorized (grey) jeweler selling Rolex pieces marked up? I was under the impression that a licensed Rolex AD is not supposed to sell their merch for more than MSRP - at least officially...I could be wrong though.
