116515LN Pricing Trend

Hi everyone

Is it just me or has the 116515LN jumped in price massively since the new PM Oysterflex Daytonas were released? When it was on the leather strap, you could pick one up for 18-19K pre-owned, but now they seem to be going for 23K+

Would appreciate any insights!

This makes sense since they have the same retail. Only natural that prices would go up when they are essentially the same thing. PM case, ceramic bezel,PM clasp. Since rubber is in and the watches are new, there's very little discount. Why should the same watches, although older, sell for for $8-10k less? This is why you really have to get what you want as soon as possible, unless we're talking about a new watch with a ridiculous market premium that will go away as the watch is more available and is no longer new. Prices will always rise and we really never know when it will happen.

I’m sure you can retrofit the oysterflex but it would also require a new clasp which being PM is going to be pricey!

Seems like every model is headed that direction right now. Platonas were selling in the 45k range just 6-12 months ago

Difficult task. You miss the end links issue as well!

No need, as have the leather 'tona PM in Everose and you just get the rubber strap from http://rubberb.com/en/rolex-watch-ba...trap-rose-gold

I opted for the black with red stitching. Easy to fit to watch, yet make sure you get a notching tool from Amazon for $10 to aid in fitting clasp end.

Hope this helps.

Ain't it the truth. There was a PM Daytona (full gold bracelet) I was stalking on one of our trusted seller's web site all last year, and now it's gone through the roof.
