I just watched 6 mins of the 14 min video. I wish I could have that 6 mins of my life back

No kidding. I almost closed it as soon as I saw those two. I flipped around enough to see what I think was the extent of the disco discussion: about 45 seconds of "we have really really solid proof the BLRO has been dicontinued," with no explanation what that proof is. For all we know, the proof is the thread you started. The rest is just two jabronis talking about gold.

Total waste of time and bandwidth.

My apologies. Thought it would be good information for an update on the Pepsi. Guess not. Will not post next time.

Just as I suspected, it's still the first watch shown on the Rolex site when you look at the GMT Master section

I will still be up there...until it's "officially" discontinued

Means nothing. The SD4K remained up until Basel last year, even though it had been discontinued weeks or months earlier.

That's when I'll accept the rumors as truth.

Here's hoping for a black and red version in stainless steel

Sorry - didn't mean to be so hard on you. It's just that the video is really a bait and switch: a 14 minute video with a title about the discontinuation, but they only discuss that issue for less than a minute, and offer no new information. We've had multiple threads on the discontinuation for weeks, with much more solid reporting. If they had at least said where they got the information, that could have contributed to what we already know, but as I said, for all we know, the "really really solid proof" could have been the threads on this website.

Buy on rumor...sell on news...or play for keeps then sell higher from news.

Don’t take it personally. Folks around here can sometimes be voracious for news and impatient about rehashing things. Continue to participate and it’ll get easier.

Thanks for posting. Appreciate the update.

It's just the two morons in the video that I can't watch.

They're not rumors. ADs all over the country have been told by their reps to update their master catalogs to reflect the discontinuation. They have also been instructed not to take any future orders on the watch, to cancel existing orders, and to refund deposits.

So, I got click baited? Good to know. Just was trying to help the board out. Will keep this in mind for next time by paying attention to older post on the same subject.

Yeah, I'd say you got baited. I appreciate you wanting to help the board out. My apologies for my tone. Like Jonny, I got irritated by those two guys.

It’s usually a good idea to start with a search to see if a topic has been brought up. Of course reviving old threads won’t win over many people either. I like to check if a thread on a topic exists and then tweak it. In other words, can I add a different perspective to a topic without rehashing the same points.

Ha, it's all good. I'll consider it my hazing for being new to the board

Like the one where people keep helping a guy choose between watches he was considering in 2010?

I agree: avoid really old threads. However, the BLRO disco threads are recent enough to be added to.

No apologies required. Keep in mind when you include a video most people will comment on the video not that you posted it. As for the subject I believe that if and when Rolex makes a decision on any watch these 2 morons are not on the "need to know" list. Keep posting and enjoy TRF.
