Luminor Due

What do you guys think of these slimmer pams? I really like the black dial with green lume on asso.

Like. People bash the 30m, but who swims with gator strap anyways. I’ll swim with others / beaters. 728 is a current fav

I’ve been looking at them as well. Really like the 728 and 904. I wish the water resistance was better and I wish the 904 had a transparent case back, but I do like the slimmer profile. I even like the 755 even though many think it’s made for women

I like Due. I might get one in near future. I am also a late bloom into the Panerai game, got my first one last year. I mostly wear my Pam, Explorer I, and IWC Chrono Little Prince. Others stay on watchwinders...

They are an acquired taste I suppose. I understand why they’ve gone this route and I think it broadens the appeal of the brand.

I just hope they never abandon their roots

I didn’t like the way they sat on my wrist, but like the look of them. Lots of Panerai bashing, but just because we also like Rolex, doesn’t mean we have to like every model. Go for it.

Looking to try them as I like the smaller sizing. I don't swim or go in water with my watches so the WR isn't an issue for me.

I think they're beautiful. I also think they betray the essence of the Luminor PAMs.

I didn't like them but they've grown on me. It's a smart move by Panerai to increase the appeal of the brand to those who don't like to feel like they have Big Ben on their wrist.

I wouldn't wear one because I like Panerai the way the Almighty intended them to be but I wouldn't knock anyone else for having a Due

Love the 728 Due! It’s the first blue dial Due in titanium case. Couldn’t get any better!

I just can't get over the water resistance issue .. and it seems very silly having a case with a crown guard on a 30m watch.

I know it's my issue I need to get over it

I do really like some of the dials especially 728/729.

Is this the type of Watch you would wear going more than 30m deep? How often do 99% of people go that deep anyway?

You do realize that wr at 30 does not mean it’s good to dive to 30 m right? 30 m is not suitable for bathing, showering or swimming.

Exactly

.. and the crown guard is synonymous with waterproofness. confusing message imo

But they have beautiful dials. It's only my personal gripe.

I understand what Panerai is trying to do (capture a new market). But these are definitely not for me. I enjoy the ruggedness of my Panerai. I dive with them, kite board with them and wear them to work (where they get covered in blood and more). Panerai are durable AND classy. I need both. The Duo to me is classy. Durable? Not so much.

I really like the Due. The classic Panerais are too large for my wrist and it’s a shame because I love the styling, so I jumped with joy when they came out with a series of smaller/slimmer models. Now is the hard part to find someone to sell me one!

Tried one on at the NYC store in the UES. Really liked the slimness. The dial looks awesome too

I think they were an excellent move by Panerai. The biggest criticism of Panerai is also its biggest selling point: size. The Luminor Due collection make Panerai accessible to smaller wrists and from what they have released so far, adds some color and whimsy to otherwise very similar models in the Luminor and Radiomir collections.

I think the PAM00908 is something that both my wife and I can share. (This is my secret way of buying her a watch and then also getting to wear it myself. :-)
My current PAM00 is just too big for her wrist. (She wears a Daytona currently).

They're a wonderful size. Much more wearable than the bigger ones. I have a 7" wrist and bought/sold a 422 after realizing it was much too tall for me-- the lug to lug distance was fine, but the height is the issue. So the slim case of the Due is outstanding.

What size were you thinking of? I'll include some pics of a 42mm on my 7" hairy gorilla wrist here.

I'm considering the 728 and 676. The only issue is that prices on the 676 seems to have tanked already...they're selling for 25% off new on Chrono24. That's the crappy part about PAM.
