Rubber for a Smurf

Just like the title says....but no, not any pictures of an actual cartoon smurf and.....so I have picked up an Everest strap, blue in color just to change things up a little. Most of my inspiration came from our one and only Chad! So here are some pics of a smurf 116619 with a blue Everest rubber strap.

Yes, a little overloaded on the pics, but I had found limited pics of the 116619 with this strap, so in the future if someone was curious about the look, they now have a few to view.

I just showed my wife the thread title and she died laughing. She has no idea that it referred to a strap on a watch! I think she was visualizing a Jimmy cap and a little blue man.

Color looks really good and it’s a nice change, but would have gotten the version that takes the clasp.

The only thing that bothers me is that the buckle has a whiter tint than the watch case - aka it doesn't match the watch.

Very nice! You didn’t want to go for the strap which can use the OEM glidelock clasp?

The pics of it on the concrete made me cringe.
Interesting combo- not for me. Although I am a fan of Everest.

Sorry. I prefer the WG PCL strap. It looks all blue and does not have any contrast.

So, I like the strap and the feel. Very soft rubber and easy to wear. It does diminish the watch presence if you will. It's a fun change for a bit, maybe if I am travelling in a beach resort, it's the perfect fit for a daytime beach/pool ...at night, the pcl bracelet is the way to go. Will this strap be used enough....I am not sure as I really love the watch on the bracelet. Anyway, a $200 experiment.....a lot less than what I have lost in the stock market recently!
