PM and sizing

When I picked up my Plat Daytona earlier this week AD recommended setting the adjustment in the clasp one notch tighter than my SS Daytona due to the increased weight. SS was very comfortable - this isn't bad but feels different. Is sizing down a good move? Am I just not used to the weight yet? Others with experience - did u size differently with PM vs SS with same watch?

No difference in sizing. The heavier weight certainly takes some getting used to. I would literally get wrist pain from my PM.

Same size here, the weight takes a few days getting used to.
Platona is really a hefty brick, just give it some time.

i wear PM tighter than SS. Its more comfortable having the watch stay in place due to the weight.

I wore it tighter as the weight slid too much on my wrist.

I wear mine the same. I find the adjustability of the bracelet, easy link and glide lock, help.

My '80s era TT DJ is very loose because it's stretched over time and I don't want to pull out another link. My platinum Daytona is pretty tight and feels better that way. It's not so tight it leaves a mark, but is tight enough to stay firmly in place unless I have suntan lotion on. I find it very comfortable that way. I seldom let out the Easylink, unless it's really humid.

Yes. I have to snug my Smurf and Platona up just a tad because of weight. Otherwise, they slide and hit my wrist bones. Being heavier, the dig and hit a little harder than SS. Play with the fit a little and you’ll get it. Congratulations on the Platona. Welcome to the club.

I do not. I tend to wear PM with the exact same adjustment as their steel counterparts.

I'll qualify that by saying:

1. I don't have a platinum watch, so that's a big weight difference there
2. The DD is in an adjustment zone all to itself
3. I actually tend to wear my steel watches a little on the snug side

Congrats on the Platona...monster watch!

Thanks for the opinions - seems to be a mix. I've gone back to the same as SS - will see how that works. Call always tighten back up - will see. Enjoying the watch for sure.

I had to tighten my 11619 a little too because of the weight. I wear my SS a bit loose but found with PM it was too heavy. It took a bit of getting used to, not the weight, but that it was snug around the wrist

Put the same number of links on but make adjustments with the micro holes
