Should I brush?

Hello, my name is Steve, and I have GMT issues. Okay, I love GMTs. So I recently added a BLNR to my stable of GMTs. Im thinking of brushing the bracelet on my 4 year old LN to have the ability to swap PCLs and brushed between the two. What are your thoughts?

Personally I wouldn't do this as I have no issues with PCL's and quite like them however it is easily undone should you decide to brush so if it makes you happy go for it. I voted not to do it.

Should I brush?

I would normally suggest keep things original, but seeing as you have a BLNR as well I can see why you like a different look - so would vote for brush. It can be converted back to PCL with minimal metal loss down the road.

Best option would be to buy a Gldidelock bracelet from a SubC... had my BLNR like that for a couple years and loved it. Just recently put the PCL Easylink back on.

I would brush it. I would go a step further by changing to a cyclop-less sapphire

Yeah not looking to buy another bracelet as I have a LN and a BLNR. Thinking of brushing one of those and can swap at will.

Keep it as intended. If you don’t like it sell it and get an older GMT or something else you love

Yes, absolutely.

Gives you the option to change between polished and brushed, and its an easy and cheap job to repolish them if you need to.

i wouldn't do it. Sub's look good brushed, IMO GMT's dont. PCL scratch, but they are part of what makes the watch great and overall are a positive attribute.

If you’ll still have one bracelet left original I’d do it. You can still switch back and forth.

I would brush any watch that had PCL's. Brushed looks better IMO.

I normally vote "No" on these sorts of threads, but...since you've got the LN and the BLNR, I don't think it's a bad idea at all to differentiate between the two. So I'm a "Yes" on this one.

@Clive: Nicely done, sir.

I would, its a lot easier to brush than to find a Submariner bracelet.

Sure, you could always have the bracelet polished back out if you change your mind.
