Best of both worlds - the SD4K

It has the great bracelet and Glidelock as well as the non-maxi case and lugs. It has the ceramic bezel, the matte dial, and the non-cyclops date.

It’s been a long time since this SD4K has seen the light of day (it was hibernating at the bank), and boy did I miss it. The LVc will be splitting time again.

Perfection.

Modern classic.

2.5-3yr production.

History moving forward will verify this. The last of the True Sea dweller Models

I agree SD4k is exactly as you described. I’m keeping mine forever and I’m planning to keep it all original (never going to get it serviced, I dont mind if it starts running slow I met a guy at a bar one time and his was losing 8 minutes a day and he didn’t care. and once it craps out I’ll be due for a new Rolex at this time anyways). Great watch. Cheers

Great shot!

I just picked up one of these yesterday. Definitely an underappreciated piece. The SD43 is a great and fun watch, still on the honeymoon phase with it after picking it up a week ago. But I'm sure the SD4K will be one of those lasting pieces, a true classic and the last of a iconic line of SD models.

Definitely worth giving it the old college try. I bet it’s a keeper once you get it.

Yeah, I can easily see that. I kick myself for stashing it away for the last several months. Gotta wear it and enjoy it!

Won’t polish either, but I will eventually service to keep it running right.

Love the look of the watch. Perfect classic size for most people unlike the new model. A keeper for sure. Wear in the best of health.

My one and only!
Too bad were (probably) not gonna see a 40mm Sea Dweller with 3235 movement. It would be the only watch I would change my 116600 for.

Amazing watch! I have a chance to buy a NOS (no name on warranty card yet) SD4K, does anybody know if this will make it worth more in future than say a 2017 model being a 2018? I’ve always wanted to stay within production years, however I would like my name on the warranty card but will be a 2018 model if I do.

Don't think it matters? Mine is 2018 NOS. Are you paying a premium for yours?

Yes it is at a grey dealer near me, asking price is £11,000 (almost $16,000)

Is this a fair deal?

How much did you pay for your 2018 NOS?

That’s not a bad price all things considered. You could certainly save a couple of Grand buying mint instead f you’re planning on wearing it.
