AP Diver gained 12 seconds in 24 hours

I just got my AP diver back from the service center last week. I sent it in because it was gaining 15-17 seconds per day.

I just checked today and it gained 12 seconds in 24 hours. This seems like a lot for a watch that was just serviced. Is this normal?

Does seem like it could be regulated better. Did you leave it in one position only? You could have put it in the position it gained the most....

I was at +12 seconds/day immediately after service. That’s an acceptable number according to APSC.

They must've changed their specs, because the 3120 should be -1/+10 when it leaves the factory. The SCs should be aiming for better, so if I were you, I’d be getting back in touch with them about having it regulated tighter.
The movement is capable, so there’s no good reason why they shouldn’t be.

Had mine recently serviced; it's now +6 after being over +10

That is about par for the course with AP in my experience. I would not be bothered anymore but my first AP it did irk me a little.

My 15202 is running spot for the record!

I tried, but finally gave up and accepted it. This was for my 3132...went to Clearwater twice and the third time, Le Brassus wanted to work on it. This was all within the first 12 months of a brand new watch.

Of the ROs I have owned and post service, they were running +5/day best. One of them had to be returned after service running +15/day. I think it is best to appreciate these beauties from the perspective of aesthetics rather than precision. Don't let it get to you and just enjoy :-)

AP is a brand you can have it regulated and on a quick turnaround. Other brands you just gotta suck it up.

My diver is a few seconds fast - no major issue, but am a fan of accuracy so for me as close to +/- 0s/day is best.
Usually I am needing to adjust plus or minus GMT a few times a month anyway when travelling, so never get too hung up on a few seconds.

I will keep monitoring it see if there is some improvement after laying it down at night in different positions. I guess I wanted it to perform like my Rolex Explorer (newest gen) which is very accurate.

Chart it over a period of 14 days then have it regulated.
