One Rolex (or not?), used or new, 10k budget
What's the answer? Currently enjoying the BLNR, on the waiting list for the SS BLRO (and a Zenith Defy 21 on a bracelet).
Been debating a WG or YG Day Date 18038/9...I love gold but hate scratches- that's why I don't have one yet. Daily wearer, none of that safe nonsense. And obviously this is a subjective thread, so you don't have to respond with the standard "whatever you like the most!" quote. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |

I'm finding myself in a similar situation....Can't really stop staring at the BLNR on my wrist...I was thinking about getting a SD43, but I'd wear the BLNR instead. Also waiting for the BLRO SS. The only option I have found would be to buy back the BLRO 16710, that I bought myself the first time I quit smoking, but sold it when I started again. Now I'm two months away from a 12 months smoke free and I really can't think about what watch I would like more or as well as the BLNR. Sorry, I can't help much....

OP I'd skip the Day Date and get a Daytona, even in TT first. Perhaps the new CHNR TT or the TT Bluesy Sub

Day date might be too much bling for everyday but its a nice watch. Id wait for new pepsi or get two watches for 10k here on the classifieds... maybe a 16750 explorer and a Datejust 36 or DJ2 with blue dial and romans

OP, if you "love" gold and want a WG or YG Day Date 18038/9, get one. Sure, PM scratches easier but if you don't do construction with it, it should be fine. And you could always get it lightly polished if it really bugs you. I started with a black SubD, because I liked (not loved) it but also because I thought that every collection had to have one and that it is the iconic classic. Don't regret my decision but I moved to buying watches that I absolutely love, so I added a BLNR and a Hulk.
