Datejust Green Roman numerals pics?

Hi all,

Looking through Rolex's website, I think I like the look of the 126300 and 126334. My 2 locals AD's don't have any in stock. Wondering if anyone has these watches and would be willing to share pics please and your thoughts of the watch? I currently have a Hulk.

I really like the day date 40's with this set up, but on the datejust models, I feel like the baton marker at 9 o'clock ruins it for me.

These day dates are amazing though...

I think this model was just announced, so it's not a surprise your ADs don't have it.

Edit: and I agree with others, the baton at 9 bothers me. Otherwise I love it

I think it's meant to balance the date at 3 o'clock, but the cyclops doesn't need balancing in my opinion.

Agreed, but take the eleven “XI,” then flip it to “IX,” then try to fit it in the nine spot. It’s gonna be a little crowded. Just sayin’.

Hmmm me too now. I thought they were stunning when I first saw them. Now looking at it again, shouldn't the 4 be IV instead of IIII. Now that's bugging me even more. Oh well, back to the drawing board

Yes , the baton at 9 is supposed to balance the date at 3 but I would prefer a Roman 9 instead. Those Day Dates are just stunning though !!

IIII was chosen to help balance against VIII. Same goes for the white baton at 9 to balance the date as mentioned above.

Glancing at it for the amount of time required to actually read the time, the dial looks symmetrical in real life. I personally find the details more compelling than annoying. It's easy to use standard Roman numerals. Balance, however, is difficult.

I love this new dial. I will probably get this dial in fluted with Jubilee when it hits the ADs.

This combo just got released this Basel.

You know, that imbalance doesn't bug me, this one does:

Model Smooth Fluted
DJ36 6700 7950
DJ41 7450 9450

Why are we paying more for the change in movement for the fluted DJ41 than the smooth bezel? Also why is the fluted $750 more than the DJ36? It is only a little largerb but 60% more.

I have just checked UK pricing and it is similar:

Why do we pay double for the new movement and case size when a futed bezel is fitted?

What's "new" about it? I bought mine July 2017. Or do you mean the SS case or Basel 2017?




There was a thought that the white marker emulated the white lines at Wimbledon...



Now known as the "Wimbledon" dial due to Roger Federer putting one on after winning there last year...



I really like the unusual white marker now. Makes the watch so individual. Wasn't certain but came to like it prior to purchase.

Oh... and since buying it, it has kept PERFECT time to the second after 8 months. Yes, that's +/- ZERO seconds in eight months.

Fluted is made of gold, smooth is SS.

I think Rolex could have made it look good if they had done it correctly. I loved that watch in Rose and green until you all just pointed out that 4 oclock was IIII. That would drive me nuts as I am all about accuracy.

That DayDate is the ONE dress watch I would trade my blue baton Datejust II for. It is just really something special. I'll just have to keep saving my money for a while. That just may be my retirement watch in ~10 years

I love this watch. The colors are so classy but the llll and the 9 o'clock baton drive me crazy. The dial would drive my ocd insane. At the very least they could have made the baton like the DDs.
If you can get pasts those two details, you will have a very classy watch.

The IIII has been around on many high end brands for many years.

Just Google "watches roman dial" and look at images. Cartier; PP; etc.

I had this set up on a DJII, the colours are beautiful! But that 9 o clock baton did frustrate me, it’s just not quite right!

The smooth bezel one looks amazing too, if you aren’t bothered by the baton it’s one of the best DJ combos imo.
