rolex tattoo

why dont Rolex insist that purchasers of new watches have to get the serial number of the watch tattooed somewhere discreet?

this would stop people flipping them.

Ha! Sure would put a damper on 'flip for profit only', flippers!

The ever popular Rolex tattoo. Will we see this at Basel 2019? Impossible to flip...

Not impossible, but certainly painful.

I heard that some Rolex AD's (primarily in the UK, at least for now) are requiring permanent Rolex ink before delivering such hard to get models as the SS Daytona. They want to ensure buyers are serious fans about Rolex and not just trend followers.

so does keeping the warranty card for a year, AD's blacklisting confirmed flippers, and limiting repeat purchases. All of which happens in the UK and people here think its the worst thing ever.

I contend that as much as people hate the concept of flippers they will fight any and all attempts to curb it even at the expense of getting a watch sooner.

So its a losing battle when the people affected by flipping in general want no curbs or attempts to stop it.
