Pre-Ordered new Tudor GMT, but should I get Rolex GMT?
I juts put a downpayment for a new Tudor GMT watch, and suppose to get it this summer. And after I did that, I was like, did I make a mistake? Should I get a pre-owned Rolex GMT which is about 2ce as expensive as I would pay for Tudor.
Basically I dont know, my question is, would Tudor appreciate the same overtime as a pre-owned Rolex would. And do you think I can get cheaper Tudor GMT pre-owned once it hits the market or the price would be stable on it? I ended up paying $4,246. Thank you guys |

I like the Tudor better, bracelet and no cyclops. Probably will be the hottest Tudor yet. I wouldn't second guess but I know the feeling.

"My ad did not make me put a deposit down."
Mine took 25% down, just to hold the spot, and the rest June-July when the watch will arrive |

Think Rolex will appreciate more and would be easier to sell

Why worry about resale? Shouldn’t watch buying be about what you want to wear and own? No watch is an investment, it’s pure luxury.

Don't buy a Tudor GMT because you want to make money on it. Forget about potential financial appreciation. Buy it to wear and enjoy. |

The Tudor will be unlikely to hold its value or appreciate like a sports Rolex. The best way to avoid depreciation is always buy pre loved.
If you want Rolex like value retention, buy a Rolex. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

get the one you like. Watch are not investment... If you think this way you will always end up with the wrong watch. The new Tudor GMT is gorgeous and affordable ( well sort of, you guys know what I mean...).

I do not believe the Tudor GMT will not appreciate in value in value over long term because they will make a ton of them (instead of the BLRO by Rolex). It might hold value better than most modern Tudors though but not better than Rolex and there's no guarantee any Rolex GMT will appreciate in the long term either
As far as I know there are momentary short term spikes on new models because theyre hard to get but that's it (ie bronze, LHD) Someone can correct me but I do not believe there are any modern Tudors that have gone up in value (besides initial spikes) except the Black Bay Noir ETA version because that was a very short production run. Is it true that every Tudor has sold at a discount?

If you don't care about resale value, I would go for it! I really think its priced amazingly for such a great looking watch.
