What is this model and reference?

My brother was just in Frankfurt airport and saw this at the AD. Wasn’t able to identify this. New release? Looks like a cross between a regular oyster perpetual and air king?

Should be simply an Oyster Perpetual 116000 with an older out of production dial. Was it sold as new?

Yeah it's the 116000 Oyster Perpetual 36mm. Discontinued a few years ago.

Interesting, yes it was being offered as new. Sales lady didn’t seem to know much about the watch, doesn’t surprise me though. Have been to the AD at one of the terminals at Frankfurt airport and I was surprised by the lack of knowledge or interest displayed by the sales staff in general.

Sure it’s a 36mm? It looked a bit large on my brothers wrist. I thought it looked closer to 38 or 40mm, but I could be wrong - he has thin wrists.

IMHO doesn’t fit at all, sorry. But I get the HD reference and it’s OK in that Black, Chrome and Orange color environment.
