Got the invite a little while ago to join the cocktail reception where they will show the 2018 Rolex models.

Any of chicagoland people going to be there next monday?

I think i just want to see the GMT to decide if i one day want it or not. I'm sure the waitlist is mile long. :D

honestly, i don't know.

i got an invite with a request to RSVP. maybe they did it to get an approx count?
maybe give them a call.
it's at 4pm, cocktail reception according to the invite.

im on the waiting list for the PepsiC at the HP store. called immediately after they opened that Wednesday, went in and had a 30 min conversation with my salesperson that Saturday. thought i had a shot to get one after walking out. i havent gotten any invitation for this. so, either my odds of getting one are now zero or this is a Oak Street only deal. did anyone who shops at the Highland Park location get the invite?

i actually haven't bought from oak street, but have in Addison and Hinsdale.
and i think i never got on their daytona waitlist, so i can't be a supreme customer LOL. will check.

Ha, I called the Highland park location yesterday. Asked if any of their branch is having a viewing party. The lady said she doesn't know, but even if they are, it is for current customers only. I guess I am not invited...

No. 21 months with my 50% deposit so far. Original estimate was "spring 2017." I'm going to get a refund if they don't deliver by end of June.

I don't think I ever got on the Daytona list with them, I don't even know. I guess a atag and a ym6, and 10 years of servicing two tags is far from vip.
I wish I had the vip kind of money.

Well, I was there a whole 15 minutes.
Tried on two watches. Actually surprised how nice the rose gold GMT looked like, still not my taste, but a beautiful watch.

The pepsi is what I came to try. Gorgeous watch, but for the expected wait time and deposit, I think I'll look for pre-owned on oyster and wait for my Daytona instead.

Wow....kinda BS they didnt invite me. I had spoke to the HP location not too long ago about the new models. I had made it clear I wanted to see them in person before i forked over a 50% deposit.....and no RSVP. They are a great store but let me see the dang thing before i put a deposit down. I would have put a deposit down right there that day.....oh well I guess i will wait....

I'd be curious how many deposits they take per watch? 1-3? 5? 10? Can you imagine if they took 10 * 50% $12,400 - Sitting on $62k in Daytona deposits?!

My SO has a 50% deposit on something with Raznys as well. I'm not sure which watch she put it on as it's a surprise for me.

I'll take your Daytona spot if you want to give it up! Bahahaha.

Haha, Razny should do better in their Public Relations department. From my experiences in dealing with their sales people, they were better than C.D. Peacock's, though.

The sad reality is that there are many people who will buy the PepsiC without seeing it. At least they let u on the spot with 50% deposit. I had done the 50% deposit with Razny before and it is within the promise timeframe for delivery. I got the steel Skydweller from them with the 50% deposit.

There are other AD where they don’t even let u on the list nor taking any deposit. But, a steel Daytona miraclly appear after buying a PM at 38k. That AD put me on the list since day one of D500 release. My friend purchased a gold Daytona (with no purchase history) and the steel Daytona came out of nowhere in May 2018.

I was at the event yesterday with 2 of my adult children. They had a great time stayed over 2 hours, tried on a number of watches.
For them the CHNR was the hit of the night. They loved the rose gold, and actually to my surprise, so did I. Interesting to me, they didn't have any SS sport watches on display, except a few used five digit Sub Dates. I thought it was a great event, we spent time talking to their sales mgr, and some of the store sales staff. And drooling over watches!
