Big ad campaign for new 2018 Basel OP
Nice to see Rolex putting the spotlight on the new OP with the back cover of the latest international edition of Time magazine.

Agreed, and I really love that model. Frankly, to the consuming public, most will have a much smaller chance of ever finding some of the other models (Pepsi) on a random trip into a local AD. Why not advertise something there’s a chance they’ll be able to buy.

......it tells history.
I bet the 'media type' that came up with that, wears red framed specs, has a 'Samurai' hair bun and sports an Apple watch. ....not a criticism, just sayin'. |

Smart move, and looks really good to me. Even the TT GMTc has garnered its own momentum.

Falling in love the the new OPs everyday. Old ones such as the 1500 or 15000 can still be bought at a relatively good price though, plus they have a date function.

Sadly, I doubt a Time ad buy counts as a big campaign nowadays. Print subscriptions have collapsed for pretty much all the once-important news magazines except The Economist.

Always enjoy seeing Rolex ads. Even though they end up bringing in more shoppers and lower my (limited) purchasing power.
