Time Adjustment on Daytona

I have a question, I recently inherited a YG Daytona from my father since he’s no longer using it. As I was adjusting the time, I noticed that when I move the crown forward, the time adjusts counterclockwise. Are there anyone else out there who have the same movement?

That doesn't sound right. The newer movements adjust counter clockwise, but the model I'm seeing in your avatar should adjust clockwise.

Why don't you post some more pics and let's have a look at it.

What does “move the crown forward” mean? Turning the crown clockwise?

Well depending on age if its pre 1999 into very very early 2000 and has the Zenith movement then hands turn counter clockwise.

It's not a zenith movement - the subdials are in the wrong order. I am only looking on a mobile and the watch doesn't look right to me, I can't say for sure without a better picture.

Hi guys, appreciate your inputs on this. The serial number says it’s in the M series so, pre 2008? I have attached additional pics.

To clarify my question, when I adjust the time (let’s say from 8am to 11am, moving it forward or clockwise), I need to move my crown towards tha 6 o’clock direction. If I move my crown towards the 12 o’clock direction, like most of the models we now have, the direction of the hands are counterclockwise. So could it be that my movement is 4030?

Is that a blue dial? - hard to tell from the pictures

Your watch has the latest "racing" bezel design, so its not from 2008 - its much younger

I think I get what you're saying, but so we're all on the same page -- can you just say whether you're turning the crown clockwise or counterclockwise? Up, down, forward, backward are not as clear.

Your point is that turning the crown counterclockwise moves the hands clockwise, right?

Yes, exactly! When I turn the crown counter clockwise (or as if you are unscrewing the crown), the hands moves clockwise..
