Antiques Roadshow Seikosha Pilots Watch

On tonight’s show (S22/Ep18) - the conclusion of their “Newport, RI” episodes - this vintage WWII Naval pilot’s watch was appraised.

$8,000-10,000 estimate.

An interesting article is also on WUS: http://www.watchuseek.com/flieger-fr...osha-kamikaze/

Thought some might like to know about it if the AR episode is coming to your PBS network soon.

I don’t know a lot of Seiko’s history. I do own a SQ award watch of which I’m proud. But thats more for the accomplishment it represents vs the resale value.

Thanks Paul, I'll try and find that on Youtube later. Looks like it has a rotating inner bezel for timing?

He didn’t manipulate the bezel, but while handling it I didn’t see a secondary crown to rotate an internal bezel.

I think the coin-edge on the outer bezel ring did the rotation.

Yeah, most likely.
