Incoming! 2nd Round LVc!

About 6 years ago I had to part with my first LVc to partially fund an upgrade for my wife’s engagement ring. At the time I didn’t connect with the ref and it was easy to give up. For me colorful watches weren’t as common or acceptable back then as they are today.

Over the last 5 months I’ve looked into scoring an LVc but it was a challenging endeavor. That was until today. Very happy to report that the Hulk has made a home on my right wrist yet again. Thanks to TRF members who have been contributing your thoughts on the many LVc threads.

If you are a fan or not you can’t ague the uniqueness this watch holds. Seeing it now again in person and I must say it’s impressive.

Congrats for the reunion with LVc! It is great looking watch and it is good that you felt this way and had to acquire it back - wear it many (and healthy!) years.

Selling a Rolex for a ring is a banning offence... but you've redeemed yourself so we'll let that one pass. Congrats!

Much appreciated! Being away from it "in person" (as the online pics don't do it justice) made me appreciate it that much more. It has so many personalities in the different lighting conditions.

It did take some effort but I have had a great relationship with my AD for 10 years or so. We spent a good hour in the back room discussing our watch hobby roots from when we were kids. Good stuff.

Well we got married long ago when we were both broke so the 'upgrade' was very substantial....let's just say I know she didn't merry me for the money.

The reunion was a fun experience. My wife didn't remember how nice it really looked. She runs a real estate brokerage and had to step away to close a deal, came back and said, "your welcome! someones got to pay for this thing!"

Very perceptive comment about colorful watches being not as popular years ago. This reference was always in dealer's cases years ago. Nobody wanted it and it is amazing it was still produced. Now they are one of the hottest watches out there. Good thing Rolex hung in there with them. Rolex's sense of things is usually right.

My first LVc was in the case for months...the one I just purchased was brought out from the back and took months to arrive...demand has certainly changed for this piece and rolex over the last 6 years. Very pleased I have a trusted AD.

It’s certainly fun to look at in the different conditions. AD said there will probably be larger inventory amounts shipping in the summer months for the US market. Lots of “incomings” on the boards over the past few days.
