Hey everyone, it's been a long time coming, but I finally took some photos of my SS Datejust, along with my other watches. Apologies for the poor quality of the photos, but I hope you enjoy them nonetheless.

You obviously like Rotary. They always have seemed able to produce a dressy style watch at a reasonable price. I looked at their website recently and was quite impressed. I have my Grandfather`s Rotary watch which I like but I find that the inside can gain a bit of condensation at times. I would only wear it on certain occasions as I don`t feel it is too robust. Liked the look of your Rotary "Daytona lookalike".

Being on a budget, Rotary offers decent quality watches for an excellent price. Both of those didn't set me back too much, and my "Daytona" has become a daily wearer whilst I'm away from home. Certainly when you look at Rotary's price bracket and look at the garbage that other brands are churning out, I think they offer some of the best value watches on the market.

I feel that the whole world is on a tight budget now. I am considering a new watch purchase - must be mechanical, look good, and be waterproof to be used as a workplace watch. Can`t decide - thought about Invicta and Seiko but will now reconsider Rotary. Only thing was I had a notion for a divers watch. Must keep looking.

Seiko do some nice divers watches with mechanical movements, but I think all of Rotary's range is waterproof to 100m now. You have to pay a bit more for a mechanical over a quartz, but I personally think it's worth it.

Thanks very much. I'm very lucky to be in the position to have such nice timepieces, and I cherish each and every one. The Datejust is a timeless classic, and is always a joy to have on my wrist. The Rotaries are sturdy, dependable watches, and excellent every day watches. I'm glad you like the pictures.

I have always thought Rotary made a real nice watch and have looked at them many times. I bought a lovely one a few years ago but it went back to the person I had it off. Real classy watch

As for a what to wear I have a 80's Seiko 5 strapped to my wrist at the moment. Cost me £12 and its £18 to have it serviced and dare I say its the best watch I have owned. Its 21 jewel, keeps perfect time, and can be worn daytime bashing about or evening. It also takes anything that comes its way. I have another couple of Seikos and they have never let me down.

Thanks for sharing. The first watch I bought myself was the skeletonised one, but I did have a good look at the Seiko and Citizen ranges. Although all three brands do some great watches for the money, the Rotaries just seem to sing to me. They're doing some very nice limited edition ones right now, which I'm trying to resist - I think I can manage with these three for a little longer at the moment.

Sounds like you got a real bargain with your Seiko, another one of those great watch stories I like to hear. Rolex say that every one of their watches tell a story, but I think it applies to any watch that means anything to their owner.
