Black Rose out for Subc Date?

Contemplating next move for the collection. A logical step seems to be BBN Eta out for a 116610LN.

Hesitation as the Eta BBN seems to be quite desirable now. I bought it to replace the BBR but haven’t had the heart to move on the BBR.

Have also debated BBR and Ranger out for a LV.

Six watch box slots, one in - one out rule (self imposed).

Interested in the thoughts of my fellow forum members about the above, or alternative moves to change things up. Help me move past procrastination...

Just sold my BBN Eta over the weekend and will probably replace it with a 114060 or 116610LN down the road. Prefer the way a ceramic sub looks and wears over a BB.

114060 isn’t entirely ruled out either...

I vote for something with color. You mentioned hulk, which is a solid choice. Blnr would be a good candidate as well.

If it were between the LV and the BLNR it would be LV as find PCLs a bit too much.
Admittedly can be brushed out but also really quite like the hulk.

Would feel inclined to move the BBR rather than BBN if going green as like to have a black bezel diver.

I prefer the black bay over both the subs (date/no date) in the 6 digit range. They simply wear better to me and are more attractive.

Don’t flip that BB. You will regret it especially with that gorgeous rose that is no longer available. I’d flip that Ranger or the Omega. I’d vote for the BLNR for your lovely collection.

You can keep 6 in the box and one on the wrist. The OP will be “dated” and a “fad” with the green dots on the chapter ring. It won’t stand the test of time. Get a timeless Rolex.
I fear the BBR will be the same, although I own it also and don’t want to let it go either. The Omega will also look dated. I think the Rolex Subs will always look amazing and timeless.

Eerily similar to where I found myself with some tweaks like instead of SMPc, I have IWC Mk XVIII LPP. Instead of Tudor Ranger, I have Tudor North Flag. Have Explorer 1 and considered an OP39. Best move I made was dumping my BBN for a 116710LN and picking up an LV.

I had the BBN ETA as well and traded it last week to get back my PAM 233. The BBN is a nice watch but just did not get enough wrist time.

I’d flip the Ranger.

Ditch the Turdors and then the airking.

Get a nice sub and a speedy and then a sweet GMT Rolex vintage Pepsi or Coke.

Black Rose out for Subc Date?

Speedy has come and gone; not for me.

The issue I have is small collection- 2 black bays - this was never really the intention.

To simplify - initial contenders to go are BBN and BBR - one of these must go.

If going for a LV I probably need to shift an additional watch - SMPc or Ranger.

Explorer and OP39 are keepers.

Sounds like a stage a few of us hit at some point.

What I do know is that 1 of the 2 Black Bays is going and a variety of Submariner is incoming - beyond that I’m hopelessly indecisive.

Enjoying peoples perspectives and rationales.

Just gone on list for LV.

After reading comments the Omega is going (whoever said dated triggered some reflection - hands do date it) and, probably, the Black Rose so retaining the BBR; unless anyone can compel me to take a different path :)

You can always buy back the BBR at a low price. I would sell the Omega 1st, then BBR. Then replace then with LV. If getting LV, no point to get the SubC. The logical choice is to flip BBR for LV and then Omega for Daytona.

Dump the ETA BB with this new collector price hike AND the omega and get a subC

IMO I would also dump either the DJ or the Exp1 since theyre too similar, as well as the tudor ranger, and put that money into a GMT
