The next submariner?
I found this subject in a previous thread but the op was banned and the thread is locked up, I hope I don't end up in the same perdicament.
Having just bought a sub yesterday (didn't even pick it up yet), I'm having concerns that the new sub will be out soon. I googled aroundand found a thread here of a person that assumed how the watch would look like and edited a photo to look like it. I then found the exact same design but more realistic, only difference was the ceramic bezel. That's either another smart guess, or a very hot sub! I love the red wording! Not too keen about the bracet though, that scratch magnet is what made me sell my GMT in the first place. It's not too late to pull back from my LV and get something else altogether, what do you guys think? Am I making any sense at all? I like the sub the way it is, should I just go for it?! |

I WISH they would release something like that...but I think we'd be dreaming...Im guessing a new larger case, maxi-dial, brushed bracelet, ceramic bezel. all white text and no depth rating increase. GO FOR THE SUB NOW..IMHO, the new case will ruin it for me...i am NOT a fan of the gmt IIc simply because of the new case....just doesnt seem to be attractive to me..

I think it would be a very good improvement if they changed the sub with new case, ceramic bezel, maxi dial, hands and more importantly a bracelet that is up to par within this price range.
I love the new bracelet, clasp and the new gliding system. That alone is worth it unless they charge an outrageous price for it. They should also go away with how they make their dials. I remember my old Sub had that dimple on the dial. Rolex should really find a new way to puncture these dials. |

I say the new sub is going to have the larger GMT case, same brushed braclet, new clasp like the GMT, ceramic bezel and maxi dial. Minor improvements to the movement at best.

I'd imagine Rolex will continue the path of the larger case as they have already done with the new Subs in gold.
I don't think we will see any RED on the dial. That was another era. As to the LV, I love the watch. The combination of the classic style case and maxi-dial along with the ability to insert a black insert make it such a versatile watch that's easily read in any condition. I do think the glidelock is the wave of the future for the sub (and a great wave it is.) |

Nice watch, I think the sub needs a deeper depth rating, 1,000 ft is capable even of wal-mart watches these days. The Ceramic bezel is an upgrade for sure. The PCL is a DOWNGRADE and does not make the watch a tool, it makes it a watch of for POSERS. Glidelock, well that is the way things are going the current bands are cheap by comparison to its competition and they have to do something to justify the Subs hefty price, which may even be heftier.
Hey Rolex PCL is UNACCEPTABLE on a dive watch! |

I agree, it wouldn't make it a new watch. Those days are long gone and they are luxury timepieces now. |

The dial says date, isn't that enough. I personally like the red sub writing and that is about it.

Hay MYK, enjoy that new Sub LV,
The pic you show has been around for a while and it's a good look that some hope for. However, the reality is that no new Stainless Steel Sub with ceramic bezel is likely to be out for a couple of years. Since they put a brushed bracelet on the Deep Sea, I would expect the Sub to also retain that feature.... One feature I wish they would sell separately in the US is the new clasp....now that I would stand in line to get..
