Hello there..

Please could members with the new glidelock bracelet post a few photos explaining the mechanism details, I really havent seen it in action. Lets hope the new bracelet finds it way to the rest of the models. As i have a very frustrating problem of getting my GMT to my size. Its either too tight or loose by adusting the links and also combination of the extension link just can get the right fit!

This is the only picture I have of my glidelock. When the watch is on your wrist, all you have to do is flip open the safety clip and then lift up on the center to expose the 'teeth' seen in this picture. From there, you can easily slide the bracelet in or out to make fine size adjustments. After you find a size you like, simply press the mechinism down flat and flip the safety clip back to the closed position...simple & takes only a few seconds to adjust.

There is no comparison between the old clasp micro-adjustments and the glidelock...no tools needed and you can constantly adjust without removing the watch. I usually adjust the size of my bracelet at least twice a day to account for my wrist size in different temperatures (not to mention it is great to tighten up when participating in sporting activities). Rolex needs to get the glidelock clasp in all their sport watch line ASAP IMO! Hope this helps. Cheers.

thanks moby... yep got a fair idea of the mechanism... its a Boon for sure!!! Like yourself even i need to adjust my watch during the day... Hope it becomes a standard for the 2009 models.

Sorry if this seems like a dump question, but can you tell me what "its a Boon" means? I've never heard that expression...I think I can figure out what you mean via context, but I wanted some clarification. Just curious...thanks.
