Father and Son GMTs

My AD came up trumps yesterday, on the back of obtaining a GMT Pepsi for me from the first UK batch, they secured a Black Bay GMT for my son yesterday, so now we have Father and Son watches.

I had the correct time on the Pepsi, the Tudor was set to one hour difference as we were testing out the functions.

We are both dead chuffed.

My son and I tend to swap watches so we share out the enjoyment of our IWCs, Tudors and Rolexes. Though he does find the Big Pilot a bit too big as he has slim wrists.

What an awesome comparison shot of the two. Love them both but I lean slightly towards the Tudor for the more vintage feel.

The Tudor GMT is identical in functionality as the Rolex, we tried them side by side, makes you think there must be a big overlap on the internals, which makes the Tudor seem very good value. It is a more understated watch, and will likely attract less attention which can be very handy.

Cheers! Congrats! Great fun. My son likes the 16710, so that will be his and I have a vintage 1675 + modern 116719. He’s just not old enough to wear his yet.
