Any Cellini Owners?

This watch was never on my radar, but it really made an impression when I saw one on display. Any Cellini owners on the forum?

The Cellini moonphase was the first one that really peaked my interest. I've never had a strong interest in the line-up (for the most part) since there are other brands I've preferred to explore at that price point for a dress watch.

I would definitely get one if only the hands weren’t so short. The movement is great, the case back has a great shape, everything is lovely except the silly short hands. After my Sub arrives next on the list will be a Patek 5196 as it has the proportions right.

I dig them. The new models with automatic movements are nicely proportioned. Maybe some day.

I am an owner of a Cellini which I purchased in the mid nineties, it has a gold bracelet and a gold face and no numerals. It has always been my preference from the time I bought it, since it has been the only piece of jewelry I have ever owned.

I've looked inside the booklet on page nine for the designation number 6622/8, but this number seem to represent a smaller or woman's model. I'm a bit confused here. My watch would be the size of the 6623/8 model in the 6622/8 design...

Hi Phrank, I run, cycle and swim miles, so the watch stays home quite a bit, I might take it to the gym when I do my weight program.

Not until the Cellini Moonphase I became interested. I bought mind this year. Its an awesome watch and enjoy wearing it. It doesn't go unnoticed wearing it. Just an fyi. Its like having cute girl next to you. People would look and its not you they're looking at. So far its keeping its value even though there's a lot of haters of Cellini.

Noticed your Cellini right away couple of weeks ago, gorgeous watch, and from the look of you, I doubt anyone would ever try and take it from you....bon soir!

Great thread. Don’t know much about them so appreciate the thread and info.

How do Cellini compare to ALS or JLC or other dress watches? Price , workmanship detail, etc. ?

The Cellini Moonphase is a truly beautiful watch but there's a lot of competition at or below its price point.

The little booklet on the history behind its design reveals quite a labour of artistry and passion as Benvenuto Cellini, master goldsmith in Florence Italy, in the 1500 renaissance era, was influenced by Leonardo da Vinci and Michel- angelo. Today, the fusion of passion, artistry and technology brings us watches like the Cellini, and I have not yet encountered any "haters" of the Cellini Collection. My preference simply lies in the wholesomeness of this design. It looks like the whole watch itself, bracelet and face, were carved out of a solid piece of gold...

I need to follow the rules and post two more messages before I can upload a photo of my "beauty".
You might, (or not) concur with me, that, like listening to Bach, there is an obvious component of uniqueness in his compositions. The same goes for the Rolex Cellini Collection, the design transcends and vividly reflects some five hundred years of passion as Benvenuto Cellini was recognized as one of the greatest goldsmiths/artisans of all time. His assertiveness and uniqueness is embodied inside each and every example of the Rolex Cellini Collection.
That's probably the reason why, in the display case, or on someone's wrist, you simply can't miss its beauty...

It is a well made dress watch, on that you are assured. Do not buy for resale. The average non watch person will say nice Rolex. I think it is a wonderful watch. JLC does not have much resale like the Cellini. At least Rolex are a charity and independent.
