It’s that newbie time again...
Hi all.
Thought I’d join as I’m entering the Rolex/Tudor market for the first time. Change of job to a fantastic market leader, have purchased a lovely ring for my hopefully wife to be and moving to the Winchester area from Cheltenham. Previous watches in rough order of purchase:- Seiko Flightmaster SND253P1 Vintage Oriosa (forgive the spelling) passed down when my grandfather passed. Seiko 007J Christopher Ward C40 Speedhawk (first gen) Marathon JSAR bought on tour in Afghanistan G-Shock Riseman (bought with some small inheritance from my nana and did two Afghanistan tours and has travelled extensively. Glycine Incursore Oris divers steel with blue/blue and now a Tudor BB GMT! I need a good dress watch but want to find a nice clean vintage piece. TBD! Looking forward to being part of the community. |

Welcome. My next watch will be Oris divers. How do you like it?

I’m wearing it now actually. It’s a lovely piece. The quality is much higher than the cost of the watch would suggest.
The dial is neatly put together and the print crisp and neat. The bezel ratchet mechanism tight but the bezel itself quite shallow so I think it would be difficult to use as a divers watch in that respect. Lume is bright and strong and even across the face. Mine has an exhibition back and although not decorated particularly other than the trademark red rotor, is attractive to look at. The bracelet is excellent quality with minimal play in any links and extremely comfortable. The inner links are brushed and outer highly polished. The deployment clasp has an extending position and closes without any play. Two side buttons operate the release mechanism. Hope that helps. It’s a real favourite of mine! |
