Next watch advice

Need help from the group!
I have started almost by accident a watch collection. I currently own a Omega seamaster and a Brietling B1. This year I purchased my first Rolex (explorer II) and I love it. My question is where should I look next(outside of Rolex) to expand my collection, while staying within say 15000.

Well...

IMO, it's very subjective and it depends on what style you are into.

I personally have always liked IWC for example and even owned one some years ago. One month ago, I got my first Breitling (which I thought I would never end up with, a Navitimer 01 LE for 10K and I'm in love with it.)

Considering your current collection I'd go for:

- Other Rolex models (Rolex is NEVER enough) GMT II, Sub, Daytona.

- IWC Portuguese Chrono (Around 7K) or Portuguese 7 days (11K).

- Omega Speedmaster

Hard to say... There are many nice options out there !

If timing isn't an issue, I'd save up a bit and grab a used top condition AP later on. Definitely a personal preference but they are unique, epic time pieces, hold value well and are usually easy to get out of should you want to part with it in the future.

JLC Reverso (pre-owned) as your dress watch for $6k-$7k, save the rest to move towards a Patek Aquanaut since you seem to like sports models.

Something yo balance out what I currently have which are stainless steel sports watches. Something more elegant and dressy.

Question, how does AP compare with Rolex?
Besides being WAY more expensive, exclusive and prestigious ?

But jokes aside,

even with all the AP "advantages" and obviously, disregarding the watch prices, I'd never trade any of my grail Rolex for ANY AP ! But this is me...

And when it comes to keep the resale value, I'm not even sure which "superior" luxurious brands could beat Rolex certain models like Sub/GMT/Daytona ! Maybe some specific PP models... I don't know

I'd add a Speedmaster Professional and look at JLC for a dress watch.

You should look into AP, there are a few models that can be had from grey dealers either new or second hand for around those prices, they are very cool watches a clear level above Rolex

How about a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms? It's beautiful and also has the heritage.
