can someone tell me what year / model the sub and gmt master 11 switched from a hollow link bracelet to a solid link?

AFAIK the 6 digit model numbers were the pivot eg 16613 vs 116613

I wonder if I asked the wrong question

what does it mean solid end link?

I used to have a 1994 two tone black face sub

The gold links in the middle of the bracelet were hollow

thats not what solid end link means is it?

Solid end links are only the links that attach to the case. The Sub never had solid end links until the ceramic models; the Sub Date got solid ends around 2001.

It is interesting because the cases began being machined to accept SEL's in the mid-90's (except the Sub that never got them), but they didn't get SEL's fitted until almost a decade later.
