Need help in Deciding

Hi Everyone,

This is Vivian. I need help in deciding whether or not to buy a rolex sub LV 116610 that comes only on an Everest strap. I would be trading my Rolex Explorer 2 42MM Polar plus some cash on my end. I want to be wearing he watch with a bracelet and will trying to acquire one from the Accessories section of this forum.

Will greatly appreciate insight/advice from all the pros over here.

Thanks,
Vivian

You do realize the bracelet is about 2k. If you are going to or want the use the bracelet go for one that has a bracelet included, that is my suggestion

I'd echo this statement as well.

Sorry to me this had bad idea written all over it.

Why try to source parts for your watch after you own it?

agree with the others. Never ever buy a watch without a bracelet unless its priced very low and you have no intention of adding one later.

Thanks guys for the response. The only reason I am even considering this is because the waitlist at my AD's is ridiculous. The price being quoted for the watch is around 9K. What do you guys think will be a reasonable price, since I definitely want to wear the watch with the bracelet. My Exp 2 comes with all with everything and its in great condition. The hulk is a 2012 model.

No bracelet.. but with box and papers? If it’s without those as well, then I’d definitely pass on it

that is ridiculous. You could pay 2k more and get a new one from a TS or get an incomplete used watch that is 6 years old and pay at least 2k for Rolex to sell you a new bracelet. Both watches you would be in at 11k

Agree with Tyler. There are TS you could trade your Exp 2 plus cash and get a complete set Hulk.

This is CJ.

how much cash?

if its around $2.5k plus your exp2, you're still good.

without boxes or papers, try the exp2 with $2k added.

still a good deal.

This was CJ.

Yes, I wasn’t thinking about offering 2k plus my Exp 2, esp since mine is complete set. I saw some guy today sell a BLNR on a Rubber B strap for 6k. So I was thinking it’s best to offer a straight swap. What do you guys think?

Get on wait list and buy BNIB, the wait will be worth it.

I am currently on two wait lists, Touneau in King of Prussia near Philly and one in Wilmington. Both of them are saying not before next year, hence I’m looking at alternatives, esp if Rolex decides to discontinue the Hulk next year.

I can say confidently say the hulk won’t get discontinued. Upgraded movement most likely.

My speculation only

Try some other dealers (smaller ones that are not Tourneau) in your area and get on their lists. Regardless, I would not buy the watch you are considering.

If it is available with a bracelet, then buy it with a bracelet. You will regret it if you don't, I can guarantee it.
