Hello Ladies and Gents,

I’ve just joined TRF and I’m interested in buying my first Rolex. I’m new to the watch world so forgive my naivety. Having had a look at some Rolex watches, I quite like the Cosmograph Daytona oystersteel.

Would like to get people’s opinion on choice and any advice around waiting times etc.

Stephen you have a choice ........ buy now from a grey at a premium, or wait so long that the premium you paid will look cheap!

A reseller. Go to Hatton Garden, every shop has at least 2. Unfortunately you have to pay a premium.

The Daytona is definitely going to be a Rolex you will have to go Grey for and, if you wait for one from a AD your hair will probably go grey before you even get on the list!
